In the run-up to Christmas, nearly 100 people gathered at the Kathmandu restaurant in Bristol. The event was a celebration of The Bridge Trust Ltd’s work in India and an opportunity to raise money and share some wonderful food together. We heard about the work being done in the slums of Delhi with children and the difference that the health workers we support have made to their community. In the slum area where they work, the infant mortality rate has dropped to virtually zero.
As well as enjoying the food together, there was also the opportunity to buy gifts for Christmas and catch up with old friends. We raised more than £3,000 to help fund our work.
