Delhi Computer Training Opening
Love India House in Delhi is now officially open as a training centre for computer literacy! In May 2022, our friends in India held an inauguration ceremony for the re-purposed Love India House, with Shri John Barla (Minister of State for Minority Affairs) and Mr. John Samuel (former Chief Post Master General) as honoured guests.

This facility will be the home of the training course we highlighted last year. We are very pleased to say that we have been able to send the funds for a years’ training for a group of students. Thank you so much to all those who contributed towards the training fees.
These courses will benefit those who would otherwise find it difficult to access skills training. Twenty young people from the slums have already started the course which will lead to a Government Certificate. To qualify they have to complete 400 hours over seven or eight months. Three-quarters of this time is spent on teaching and the remainder on practical and interview skills.
The health workers The Bridge Trust supports were also guests of honour at the ceremony. It’s so good to see them get the recognition they deserve for their hard work. They play an important role in building community in the slums as well as looking after health and hygiene needs.
