Keeping Delhi fed
We want to thank everyone who has given to the situation in India in recent weeks. We have been overwhelmed with the response, and have been able to send in excess of £12,000 since the beginning of the year. This has been used for COVID relief and for the feeding programme in Delhi. Over 300,000 meals have now been provided for those who need it most.
Although the COVID-19 situation in India has slipped out of UK headlines, there is a huge need for support where systems that were already weak have been overwhelmed. Our partners are stepping up the feeding programme in East and West Delhi to 4 days a week in response to this demand. Very recently they have started similar programmes in Agra and Chennai.
One Cafe Coffee = 15 Meals in Delhi
A little really does go a long way in this situation. Give the price of a £3 cup of coffee and it will provide 15 meals; or the £10 we might spend on a takeaway curry could provide 50 simple meals in Delhi. If you would like to help, click here.
